Specialist area of work: Non-standard Home Insurance for mid and high-net-worth private clients.
Steve has built up a wealth of expertise and insight in private client insurance, having worked at Howden for more than 20 years. Prior to the pandemic he conducted client visits four days a week and it's this experience and insight which has given him a unique understanding of home insurance solutions.
This is particularly true of more challenging risks for non-standard homes, be it a water mill, an historic home, or a property with a difficult claims history.
Like many in the insurance industry, Steve started his career by accident but soon realised that his passion for history, his degree in economics and his desire to help people, could all be put to good purpose and, of course, help him forge a successful career.
When not at work, Steve can usually be found in a castle or historic home.
