Financial Institutions
You provide your clients with advice and expertise when it comes to their investments and wealth, but do you know if they receive that same level of guidance and insight for their personal insurances?
This is where the Howden Private Client team can help.
Why choose Howden?
The Howden Private Client team excels in meeting the insurance needs of private and high-profile individuals. We have extensive experience and understand how to provide an excellent and discreet service. Each of our clients benefit from a dedicated point of contact, who provides them with bespoke advice when it comes to insuring their properties, possessions, fine art, valuables, and cars.
Insurance for the most unique of assets
Your client’s insurable assets may be complicated and extensive, but there’s no reason why the cover should be. We take the time to look at how we can support a client, regardless of the complexity. We’re well placed to advise on the following.
- High value properties with a rebuild cost over £2m
- Properties that are empty and undergoing renovation work
- Clients with multiple properties both in the UK and overseas
- Clients with valuable collections of art, jewellery, watches and other collectibles
- High value prestige cars and supercar
And our private client insurance isn’t limited to the assets that may fill your homes. We have a long and successful track record of insuring precious metals, cash, and cryptocurrencies – which means we can help your client secure insurance for mines, the financial institutions where assets are held, vaults, and safe deposit facilities.
Building trust and earning loyalty
We’ve been working with financial institutions for over 20 years and our fundamental aim is to ensure that your client is adequately protected and not underinsured as having to personally cover any shortfall in a claim settlement will stretch the finances of any client.
Our three-stage process includes the following:
Appraisal
Part of our approach is to get a detailed understanding of your client’s individual requirements. Our view is that this ideally needs to be done in person – so we’re more than happy to visit your client’s property (without any cost or obligation to them) and carry out an assessment of their requirements. We can assist them with a contents’ inventory to ensure that they’re not underinsured, give practical advice on security improvements, and also offer wider risk management advice.
Market review
Once we understand the requirements, we then conduct a market exercise to ensure that we recommend an insurer who strikes the right balance between comprehensive cover and competitive premium. We also look for ways to make the insurance arrangements simple – whether that be via a common renewal date, a single insurer, or a single policy that covers a client’s home, contents, cars, and additional property. This approach can result in a premium saving.
Recommendations
We then present our recommendations to your client and should they wish to proceed, assist with the cancellation of their current policies and the placement of new insurances.
Leveraging our wider network
Your client may have challenges beyond insurance, and we can introduce them to businesses who can deliver a range of other services. These include:
- Valuation companies
- Security companies and property management companies
- Surveyors and engineers
Please be assured that our reputation is key, and we only collaborate with companies who have similarly high standards.
Next steps
For our clients, we make purchasing insurance as simple as possible and provide ongoing support. And even if cover requirements extend beyond the UK, your client can enjoy seamless access to our international network – which is the largest independent insurance network in the world.
So why not make us the trusted insurance adviser for your private clients?
