But there are all sorts of things that can derail what seems like a straightforward sale from a non-standard property to an unusual circumstance causing problems and if your client can’t find cover, it may adversely affect the property purchase.
That’s where we step in. We help your client navigate the home insurance market and work with them to find the right policy. We’re also available to step in at short notice, as we understand that sometimes a client may leave insurance to that final moment.

A case in point: Saving a property purchase
We had a referral from a nation-wide estate agent whose client was purchasing a £3m property in Surrey. The property had suffered two previous subsidence incidents and, as many of us have experienced, obtaining subsidence cover for properties with previous history for this issue is famously difficult. The mortgage provider required that cover for subsidence was included, with a maximum excess of £1,000. So the client’s likelihood of purchasing the property rested upon whether we were able to obtain the cover.
By leveraging our experience and relationships, we successfully secured the necessary cover and the purchase went ahead. Both the client and estate agent were thrilled with the outcome.
